This PowerPoint presentation is a general overview of Temporary Disability and Family Leave Insurance programs, two state-run wage replacement programs that support workers who need to take time off due to illness, injury, mental health issues, or pregnancy, or to care for an injured or ill loved one or bond with a new child. We will cover general requirements of the programs, some newer updates to the programs in recent years, and how one might utilize these benefits.

- Provide support to HR and leave teams in helping employees navigate their NJ leave benefits
Presenter – Andrea Jensen
Andrea Jensen is a public servant with ten years of experience in New Jersey Paid Leave programs through NJDOL. Starting as an examiner, she has gone on to support NJ workers with hardship cases while assisting the constituent relations unit within DOL and later moving into training and development for new staff. She now provides statewide outreach and education to workers, HR professionals, and medical providers on NJ leave benefit programs.
