Role Based Security |
In most organizations there are individuals who need access to a portion of employee information without being given access to all the data in the payroll and human resource systems. Role Based Security enables management to custom configure a group of rights that control what an individual may access. For example, the payroll administrator can be given access to just payroll processing functions and information; the human resource manager can be given access to all the information, but restricted from accessing payroll functions; the executive in charge of payroll and human resources can have access to all areas of the system. Often, supervisors are given rights to view and/or edit specific types of information as it relates to their own staff. |
