Information for Employees About New Jersey's Paid Family Leave Law:
- Beginning January 1, 2009 employers are required to withhold 0.09% of their emloyees' taxable wages as defined in the Unemployment Compensation Law. This is the same wage upon which the withholding for unemployment compensation is based ($28,900 in 2009). The withholding rate will increase to 0.12% in 2010.
- There isn't any employer contribution to the program required at this time.
